Clare Daly TD moves Medical Treatment (Termination Of Pregnancy In Case Of Risk To Life Of Pregnant Woman) #2 Bill 2012
Clare Daly TD has proposed the following amendment as an additional final point in the Sinn Fein motion on legislation for X.
Recognising that there must be an end to the distinction between the life and the health of a woman as grounds for legal abortion in Ireland, the Dáil calls on the government to introduce a Bill for a Constitutional referendum for the repeal of the 8th Amendment to the Constitution and the consequent deletion of Art. 40.3.3 in order to facilitate the introduction of appropriate legislation.
To be read in the Dail 19:30pm tonight.
People with a disability and their families marched on the Dáil on 21st November to say in one loud voice, ‘We Demand Rights, Not Charity’
Clare Daly stands with the ULA in calling for the immediate cessation of Israeli military aggression against the people of Gaza. There should be an immediate lifting of the punitive blockade on the Strip, to allow in much-needed humanitarian aid, medical supplies, and building material for reconstruction.
Eamon Gilmore should demand a meeting with the Israeli Ambassador now and convey the clear message that if there is not an immediate cessation of military aggression, the Ambassador will be asked to leave Ireland.
