Thousands of unaccompanied children are currently locked up in detention centres in the United States. They are the latest victims of the failed “War on Drugs.” The Obama administration estimates that this year, nearly 100,000 children will be detained after illegally cross the Mexican border without their parents. The majority of these children are coming from Central America.
