Minister Fitzgerald drags her feet on Garda reform, seems content that GSOC is not functioning in investigating complaints against Gardai…meanwhile injustice cases before the Review Panel are not investigated properly & are unlikely to get justice…
To ask the Minister for Finance the reason residents are being contacted by the Revenue Commissioners in a very curt and inappropriate manner (details supplied), while trying to access their lawful entitlement to an exemption from the Local Property Tax; if he will instruct the Revenue Commissioners to desist from these communications and from deductions at source, in view of the fact he is on the record as saying that his Department is striving to rectify the problem, which is not of the homeowner’s creation; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine if he has conducted reviews of the Animal Health and Welfare Act since its enactment; his views in relation to whether he is considering amending the legislation to remove the exemption in the Act which permits live animal baiting in the form of hare coursing.
