Reminiscent of the Dickens novella “A Christmas Carol,” Walmart made headlines last week as a global symbol of stunning corporate greed and shamefully low wages. A Walmart store in Canton, Ohio set up canned food bins accompanied by a sign asking store employees to “Please Donate Food Items Here So Associates In Need Can Enjoy Thanksgiving Dinner.” Public reaction was swift and negative.
